"If I could give 0 stars I would. Not only is State Farm much higher than other companies they have bad business practices, specifically this office. Last year I was informed INCORRECTLY that it was required that I continue to pay a tag insurance on a car that was totaled or I'd have to pay for a new tag when I replaced the car. In fact, not correct. I was advised a year later that oops, actually you can just turn in that tag for a credit. I will say they did back date the fees and issue a refund check. However, they did not disclose this would impact my 'multi car' discount, which is insane anyway because why would you even consider a tag being insured another 'car'. Then I inquired about removing my son from my insurance as he's of age and no longer living with us. I was told they could do that and that in fact he wasn't required to be on my policy to begin with. They then decided they would back date that as well. To my surprise, my insurance didn't go DOWN instead it increased another 200 to almost $600 a month for 1 car. I inquired and was told they were working on it. A couple weeks went by and nothing had changed so I decided to look elsewhere. Progressive for the win, $200 with renters for 1 car and 2 drivers, perfect. Out of nowhere A'Lexus calls me to advise me hey good news we removed your son, back dated the policy and we have a $1500 credit to issue you. Do you want to apply that to your next premium or receive a check? I had already signed up with a new insurance and canceled my policy effective 2 days from this call, so I said I'll take a check. A week later I'm told sorry it was applied to your premium before your policy canceled so I have to reverse that and then have it issued. Fast foward a month - NO CHECK, turns out Carrie (who no longer works there) and A'Lexus were both HORRIBLY wrong. I never even asked for the back date to happen, they did that on their own and didn't bother to share it would go under review etc. That $1500 wasn't even set in stone when she called me to advise. Today, the 'manager' calls me to discuss all to tell me how her employees were wrong and they took accountability blah blah blah. How he did and does need to be insured blah blah blah. So to sum it up, several employees who are supposed to be the experts in their field guided me wrong MORE THAN ONCE. Then proceed to call me and say congrats $1500 coming your way, to then say oops not really?! Sure sounds like if I had stayed with State Farm and not moved insurance companies my premium would be less b/c that $1500 would have been applied. Shady business, poor management and poor communication. NEVER AGAIN!"
